NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A multi-vehicle crash near the Nashville International Airport has shut down a section of Briley Parkway Saturday evening.

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's SmartWay traffic map, an overturned vehicle was reported shortly before 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 on Briley Parkway at Exit 4 (the Murfreesboro Road exit).

Exactly one hour after the incident was reported, a TDOT spokesperson announced on X that all southbound lanes, one northbound lane, and the exit ramp are blocked because of a crash involving multiple vehicles.

The spokesperson said the northbound diversion is at Exit 4 and the southbound diversion is at Vultee Boulevard.

No additional details have been released about this incident, including whether anyone was injured.
