NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One of the Neo-Nazi group members who descended on Nashville last summer will be returned to Tennessee after he was indicted on civil rights intimidation and assault charges.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Louis Edward Dunn, 43, is a member of the Goyim Defense League (GDL) antisemitic hate group. He is currently being held as a fugitive in the Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix, Arizona, following his arrest Sunday by the El Mirage, Arizona Police Department.
Metro police asked Arizona authorities to help locate and arrest Dunn due to his indictment by a Davidson County Grand Jury last month.
The charges stem from an incident in a 10th Avenue South parking lot in the late night hours of July 13, 2024. Dunn and Ryan Scott McCann were involved in an altercation with a 20-year-old Clarksville man of Jewish descent, according to Metro police.

Investigators believe the 20-year-old victim was standing outside a vehicle in the parking lot when he was antagonized and taunted by members of GDL.
During the altercation, McCann reportedly attempted a spinning elbow strike toward the victim’s neck and head. When the victim tried to get away, Dunn is alleged to have grabbed him and pinned him against a truck while McCann was chasing him. The victim said he was struck in the neck and legs during the altercation.
McCann, 30, was indicted on civil rights intimidation and assault charges earlier this year and was convicted in Criminal Court last month. His sentencing is pending and he remains in jail.
